We believe that the best way to help the growing number of children and teens with mental health challenges is by equipping parents with the tools and training they need to support their children. Of course, parents also need support for themselves. U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy has called for a “fundamental shift” in prioritizing parents’ mental health and well-being.  

Our new site will offer a variety of practical and innovative resources for parents, but we recognize that nothing can replace the support and expertise of trained mental health professionals. That’s where you come in.

We are looking for coaches with:

• A degree in mental health
• A specialty in treating children and/or adolescents
• At least five years of experience working with parents, children, and teens

Our company was founded by Lawrence E. Shapiro, Ph.D., an internationally recognized child psychologist and author whose books have been translated into 27 languages. Dr. Shapiro created all the innovative software offered by Between Sessions Resources, and he will bring the same thoughtful and practical approach to our new parenting site.
